Doha: After the World Cup football, Qatar and the Middle East have been waiting for a long time for the Doha International Horticultural Expo. Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani inaugurated the Expo in a ceremony witnessed by the leaders of various world countries including UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Public entry to the expo, which started at Albida Park, will begin from Tuesday. Programs at different times in the areas of Family Zone, International Zone and Cultural Zone also begin on Tuesday. About 80 countries are participating in the six-month long expo. Visits to the international pavilions of the Expo will be allowed from 10 am onwards. Entry is free.
Apart from the UAE President, Uzbekistan President Shaukat Mirziyoyev, Djibouti President Ismail Umargale, Tanzania President Samia Suluh Hassan, Iraq Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Al Sudani, Yemen Prime Minister Dr. Main Abdul Malik Saeed, Prime Minister of Rwanda Dr. Edward Engrin were present at the opening ceremony. Then they visited various pavilions and other things at the expo venue along with Amir. The Emir’s personal representative Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Althani and the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Althani also participated.
