Bershim and Timbery say medal-sharing will no longer exist

Burshim and Timbery made it clear at a news conference in Doha yesterday that medal-sharing will no longer be what happened in Tokyo. Timbery made it clear that he would not return to the past and would not change what he had done. The two will remain good brothers and friends. The medal was shared as both deserved a gold medal in Tokyo. Asked if he would share the gold medal once more, Timbery, who is also the 2021 Diamond League winner, said the answer was no. In Tokyo, Bershim and Timbery shared the gold medal by jumping 2.37 meters.

The duo are gearing up to reach new heights in the Doha Diamond League. Bershim is aiming for his first hat – trick in the world title at the World Athletics Championships in Eugene in July this year.
