The owners of the Doggi’s arepera were surprised by the visit of the Vice President of the United States, Kamala Harris, who shared with the workers, in addition to taking an order.
Through the store’s Instagram account, as well as one of its owners, they shared some details of the meeting at one of their stores in Florida.
“Yesterday we had the honor of receiving Vice President Kamala Harris in our restaurant and we were able to share our history and delicious Venezuelan cuisine with her,” they wrote in the post.
They described the meeting as “one more page for their history, since we have become a source of inspiration for many people who seek to conquer their own American dream.”
“Immensely grateful to our family and work team because this recognition belongs to all of us who make up doggis,” they concluded.

Giovanni Esteves, one of the owners, offered other videos and photos of Harris visiting the store. In addition to him, he almost didn’t make it to the meeting, because he didn’t believe it was real.
“If at some point in our lives we had been told that a Vice President of the United States would visit and recognize the work we have put into Doggis, I would never have believed it,” he posted.
“Today we had the joy of receiving Kamala Harris in our restaurant, without a doubt a great surprise for everyone. There are so many businesses that exist in this country and that today we were chosen fills us with pride. Today we want to thank the entire Doggi’s team because without a doubt this recognition is yours too”, she recounted.
He also revealed that “everything was very fast and hard to believe. So much so that I almost didn’t get to see it because I always doubted it was true. In the end we managed to arrive and share 10 super nice minutes and very nostalgic for what the moment meant ”, she closed.
