Does the health facility have the right to collect value-added tax from the patient? .. “Zakat and tax” is refunded

Al-Marsad newspaper: The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority clarified that the state bears value-added tax for citizens “only” in all health services provided.

This came during her response to an inquiry regarding the eligibility of dispensaries and private hospitals to collect value-added tax from the patient.

She indicated that it is required that the service provider be within the medical facilities licensed by the Ministry of Health, following verifying the identity of the recipient of the service.

And she continued, with regard to residents, invoices are issued to them by the establishments registered in the system, including value-added tax.
