Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN)–There are many misconceptions regarding hemorrhoids, which may lead to anxiety for many people without any basis.
The Omani Ministry of Health, through its official account on the “Instagram” website, pointed to some of these misconceptions related to hemorrhoids, and showed their truth.
- Hot pepper causes hemorrhoids

- Hemorrhoids can only be treated with surgery

Pain and inflammation can often be relieved with at-home hemorrhoid treatments, such as:

The Omani Ministry of Health clarified that when you do not benefit from home remedies for hemorrhoids, you should consult a doctor.
