Frankincense is one of the most important nutrients that have many benefits for the health of the body, as it contains a resin, which is the sap of the “Boswellia” tree, which grows in Africa and the Arabian Peninsula, and this substance is extracted from the bark of the tree.

And within this substance there is an acid called boswellic, which has anti-inflammatory properties, and contributes to the treatment of some diseases that we mention as follows, according to the “good house keeping” website.

– Arthritis

Reduces Arthritis Because it contains terpenes and bosonic acid are the most powerful anti-inflammatory compounds, especially rheumatoid joints and osteoarthritis.

Researchers say that frankincense inhibits the secretion of leukotrienes, compounds that can cause inflammation.

– Maintains healthy gums

Helps prevent bad breath, reduce toothache, and gum infections, because it contains boswellic acids that have strong antibacterial properties that help prevent and treat oral infections.

Contributes to the treatment of the gastrointestinal tract

The male frankincense treats many digestive problems, and relieves the pain and problems of the digestive system, such as constipation, diarrhea and other diseases.

A 2007 study showed that Boswellia may be a more effective treatment for chronic diarrheal disease.

Frankincense also contains anti-inflammatory properties, especially the resin that makes the gut work properly, prevents ulcerative colitis, and its extracts are as effective as stomach medicines that contain mesalazine.

– Helps treat asthma

Asthma patient is exposed to many attacks that may threaten his life, and there are many studies that have proven that male frankincense contributes to relieving asthma patient’s pain and helps treat bronchial infections.

Traditional medicine has also used ancient frankincense to treat bronchitis and asthma for centuries, as research indicates that frankincense compounds inhibit the production of leukotrienes, which cause bronchial muscles to contract, improve lung capacity and reduce asthma attacks in people with chronic asthma.

Contributes to the prevention of cancer

Frankincense may also help fight some types of cancer, as it contains boswellic acid, which prevents the formation of DNA in cancer cells and limits the growth of cancer.

Also, frankincense oil distinguishes between cancer cells and normal cells and works to kill cancer cells only, especially in the breast, prostate, pancreas, colon and skin.

Below are the doses that the patient should take daily to aid his recovery or reduce symptoms.

Asthma: 300-400 mg three times a day.

Osteoporosis: 200 mg, three times a day.

Rheumatoid arthritis: 200-400 mg, three times a day.

Ulcerative colitis: 350-400 mg three times a day

Gingivitis: 100-200 mg three times a day
