There is a chance that André Hazes Jr., the last remaining singing Hazes, will withdraw from the Holland Zingt Hazes event now that he is at odds with his mother, who is a co-producer.
Rachel Hazes wants André Hazes Jr. to give up his stage name André Hazes (so without Jr.), but the funny thing is that she has been cashing in for years and years by putting her son with that name on the posters of Holland Zingt Hazes. And while she is co-producer of that lucrative event. Does she really think the judge will go along with her?

It is unbelievable, says media critic Rob Goossens. “Even Rachel has been calling him André Hazes for a long time,” he says at the desk RTL Boulevard. “She has a pretty popular concert series. Maybe you know it: Holland Zingt Hazes, and look what will be on the posters of that show for 2025: it really says André Hazes!”
That name still stands on the website. “Now I can imagine that, from her childhood alone, she doesn’t know how quickly she will have to add Jr. to this list, but the fact that she has of course also had him appear on the posters as André Hazes for years gives It’s a bit of a sign that she apparently never had a problem with it.”
Does André cancel?
Rob can well imagine that André no longer wants to meet his mother there. “It’s a brand name, so she undoubtedly has something to claim, but at the same time: if you play it up that high, you will soon see that André says: ‘Just figure it out. Go and have fun with Tino Martin, I won’t come to Holland Zingt Hazes anymore.’”
And that would be a big blow for Holland Zingt Hazes, Rob thinks. “That is of course much more damaging to the Hazes brand name than not being allowed to add jr. to his stage name.”
Pat the head
Holland Zingt Hazes would have to do without both singing children of the late André Hazes, because Roxeanne previously canceled her cooperation. And that makes the concert event a little less special.
It would not be unexpected, because in recent years there have been tensions between André and Rachel during popular events. Two years ago he gave her a fake pat on the head, but at the last edition André had a guard walk with him, so that no one could get close to him. Not even Rachel…
