Dodon: Moldova is preparing to join Romania and NATO

Former Moldovan President Igor Dodon said that Western countries are provoking destabilization in the country in order to justify its political and military annexation to Romania. After that, NATO troops can be deployed on the territory of the country.

According to him, Moldovan President Maia Sandu and her patrons are following the Ukrainian scenario. They provoke the destabilization of the situation. He reported this in his Telegram channel.

“At the same time, some Western political factors are planning to use the Moldovans in the geopolitical battle as cannon fodder. This battle is underway now. The political and military annexation of our country to the territory of Romania is being prepared. Our neutrality will have to be abandoned,” Dodon said.

He clarified that the anti-Russian hysteria and armament processes by Western countries are arranged on purpose. They are aimed at justifying the presence of NATO troops on the territory of Moldova.

“The current ruling party is unable to find a way out of this situation. At the same time, lethal weapons can be brought to us in winter. It turns out that people will live in cold and poverty, but with rockets and guns,” Dodon stressed.
