Max Muncy tied the score with a ninth-inning infield single, pinch hitter Mookie Betts singled in the winning run and the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 3-2 Thursday in their 45th comeback of the season, the best mark in the Major Leagues.
The Dodgers didn’t take charge of the game until Arizona starter Zac Gallen walked off the mound in the eighth following hitting his career high with 13 strikeouts.
Craig Kimbrel (6-6) got the win despite struggling once more in the ninth.
Prior to the Dodgers’ reaction, Christian Walker hit a 435-foot home run to left-center field — his 36th homer of the season and sixth once morest the Dodgers this year — that put Arizona ahead 2-1 in the blackboard before Kimbrel.
Reyes Moronta (1-1) took the loss following giving up two hits and as many runs in a third inning of work.
