Express notes that, according to Cleveland Hospital doctors, the main symptoms of nonalcoholic fatty liver are discomfort and abdominal pain. But in many cases, fatty liver causes itching.

Doctors say, “The itching associated with non-alcoholic fatty liver is intensified in the evening and at night. This itching appears in some people in a specific area of ​​the body, such as the extremities or the soles of the feet and hands.”

Doctors point out that one of the causes of this itching is the accumulation of bile acids salts. It is noted that people who are obese and overweight have a tendency to develop nonalcoholic fatty liver. Therefore, experts advise them to reconsider their diet and work to get rid of excess weight.
