A one-hour warning strike will be held in the central emergency room (ZNA) of the Ottakring clinic today, Friday. From 10.00 a.m. there will be a one-hour protest. The strike committee emphasizes that emergency supplies should be secured. A rally in front of the hospital is scheduled for 10:30 a.m.
The campaign is a “call for help because under the given circumstances we can no longer offer our patients the care they need,” it said in a recent broadcast. At least 20 percent more medical staff for the department or a “significant increase” in the ZNA allowance are required.
A “fair distribution” of the emergency access routes to all emergency rooms in Vienna, adapted to the number of staff and the actual bed capacities, is urged. The management of the hospital and the Vienna Health Association recently assured that a large part of the wishes formulated had already been realized or addressed.
