The worsening factors in this woman’s story were that she excluded dairy products from her diet, explaining this by the fact that she simply did not like them. Eventually there is not enough calcium in the body. In addition, the woman smoked – an additional negative factor. Later it turned out that she lacked vitamin D, and the lack of hormones in menopause brought the situation to a turning point.
“For health reasons, she can no longer be prescribed hormone replacement therapy, although if this had been done a few years ago, then, most likely, the development of osteoporosis and fracture might have been prevented,” says the gynecologist-endocrinologist.
