Al-Marsad newspaper: The doctor of the Egyptian artist, Hisham Selim, revealed the details of the latter’s illness before his death following a struggle with lung cancer at the age of 65 years.
Dr. Yasser Abdel Qader, Professor of Oncology at Qasr Al-Ainy Medicine, said that Selim’s health had deteriorated in the past few days, stressing that the main cause of the late’s illness was smoking.
He pointed out that he was diagnosed with lung cancer only in the third stage, which is considered advanced and very dangerous, noting that Selim was fully aware of his health condition during his full-year chemotherapy and immunotherapy at Dar Al Fouad Hospital.
The private doctor Salim stressed that his patient maintained his good treatment and tolerant manners with all doctors, nurses and hospital staff.
