Do you want to enter the United States without problems? Download this application 2024-07-20 07:25:54

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is urging international travelers to use the CBP One mobile app to facilitate their entry into the country and obtain Form I-94 without complications.

With increased travel during the summer season, U.S. authorities are seeking to expedite legal entry into the country. CBP is increasingly recommending the use of the CBP One mobile app to record legal entries into the United States and manage departures for those who have entered under Form I-94 regulations.

Sidney K. Aki, CBP’s director of field operations in San Diego, noted that the agency’s goal is to make the international travel experience as seamless and efficient as possible. By using CBP One to apply for the I-94 in advance, travelers can significantly reduce their wait times at ports of entry and enjoy a smooth entry.

Facilities for international travelers

CBP reminds that thanks to the application, international travelers can request their I-94 up to seven days in advance of their arrival in the United States, considerably streamlining the travel process. Among the functions of CBP One, it is worth highlighting the possibility of scheduling appointments and accessing important information regarding the trip.

By planning ahead and completing the I-94 electronic application before arrival, travelers can avoid worrying regarding paperwork and potentially inconvenienced wait times.

I-94 applicants must demonstrate financial solvency, proof of residency outside the United States, and sufficiently strong ties to their home country. Travelers are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the “Know Before You Go” section of the CBP website to avoid fines and penalties related to importing prohibited items.

New technologies and requirements for the return

Beginning July 1, nonimmigrants traveling to the United States must voluntarily submit their facial images using the CBP One mobile app. In addition, they must provide biographical information from their passports and other travel documents.

CBP uses advanced technologies to collect biographical data, facial images, and geolocation information from international travelers departing the United States under Form I-94 requirements. The application allows travelers to take a “selfie” photo, which CBP verifies using geolocation services and liveness detection software, ensuring that the image corresponds to a live photo.
