Do we walk after eating to remove sugar? A Saudi consultant answers and reveals the optimal time to walk after eating

Al-Marsad Newspaper: Public health advisor and health promotion expert, Dr. Saleh Al-Ansari, revealed how healthy it is to walk following eating in order to reduce sugar levels.

And “Al-Ansari”, through a tweet on his Twitter account, posted a question saying: “Do we walk following eating to lower sugar?” To answer: “No,” pointing out that spreading the idea among the public is a risk, especially for the elderly and patients with chronic diseases.

He explained that following eating, we need blood for digestion, and it reaches the heart less, pointing out that one or two studies do not change the safe recommendations. He added: “Unfortunately, in our society the word “meal” does not mean “meal”, so following eating they postpone walking for 2-4 hours.
