The fact of the matter is that we are happy with the improvement of the Arab relationship with cinema as a first art, and allowing it to be present with its films, artists, and galleries, in order to celebrate it in festivals and costly demonstrations.
Yes, cinema has occupied a high position in our anti-Dad-speaking countries. During the past few years, a positive uprising took place in this field, festivals were born, dozens of halls were created, the number of seminars, workshops and film productions supported by various references doubled, with remarkable facilities in implementation.
But why did this development and expansion happen?! At the outset, we must look to the world and the catastrophic developments that have witnessed with the Corona pandemic since the year 2020 at a time when the giant American company “Netflix” was striking hard and steadily among its ancient sisters without fear or hesitation, and electronic platforms for streaming presentations were invented and the world felt a radical change in this framework.
On the other hand, our countries did not find a better outlet than movies and spacious dark halls for their citizens to spend their free time in a controlled environment and choices that take into account religion, morals and various social controls, in addition to the fact that the right choices provide an excellent benefit to the pioneers. We want to once once more congratulate director Spielberg, because he is one of the few who bet on the return of cinema to its strength only because there is no alternative to it to fill its void.
In the face of all this, do we do anything but have fun! Without some timid initiatives, there would be no constructive projects that take into account what good films can do and the noble services they provide to their society. It is enough to depict distinguished, high-end models that read the conditions of one of our countries on a limited scale, or what our vast nation is experiencing, millions in population, for our messages to reach the world without campaigns or propaganda plans.
We are realistic, and in most of what we produce, we do not deviate from entertainment. We are interested in providing the conditions of the Jamahiriya so that projects can recover what was spent on them. As for art for art, and providing positive messages regarding our history, reality and civilization, these are matters that we do not prioritize, although they are a social safety valve for us, and a golden opportunity to open our doors On the many advantages of our nation, the world public opinion may be able to see the correct view instead of succumbing to the dictates of the hostile propaganda and what is more with its trumpets.
