The wife of the American actor, Bruce Willis, asked the paparazzi to stay away from him and respect his privacy in public places, following announcing that he had a dangerous and rare disease.
In an emotional plea, actress Emma Heming-Willis said, in a video posted to her Instagram account, to paparazzi trying to “monitor my husband’s exclusive details, just keep your space,” saying that “there’s still a lot of education we need” regarding people with dementia.
Willis, 44, was referring to a recent incident with her husband, 67, when he appeared in public rarely to meet friends for a coffee together, explaining how difficult it is to get a sick person out into the world and move around safely.
She added, “For the people who appeared in the video, please do not yell at my husband and ask him questions regarding his health or shout regarding him.. Don’t do that, give him his space, and allow him to move around safely.”
Willis asked a dementia specialist for advice on how to get patients out into the world safely.
And Bruce Willis, an American actor and singer who appeared in more than a hundred films, achieved wide fame through his role in the comedy-drama series “Moonlighting” during the mid-1980s.
And his family had revealed in 2022 that he had aphasia, a state of partial or total loss of the ability to express and speak, which made him retire from acting.
And last month, his family reported, in a statement, that Willis suffers from “frontotemporal dementia” or “FTD”, a disease that has no cure.
The star’s family said, “As difficult and heartbreaking as this news is, it is a relief to finally get a clear diagnosis.”
