Warzone 2: The DMZ receives building 21 – Infinity Ward retains a new zone
When will Building 21 be back? Call of Duty’s DMZ mode received its first content update at the end of 2022: Building 21. But much to the chagrin of many CoD players, the mysterious hideout disappeared from Warzone 2 following a few days. only. We now know when Building 21 will reopen: January 13, 2023.

What is Building 21 in DMZ (Warzone 2)?
Building 21, or Building 21 in English, is a brand new area in Warzone 2’s popular DMZ mode, introduced with the mid-season update. This is a multi-story lab that houses particularly strong AI opponents, but also offers exclusive and powerful rewards. A special access card is required to enter building 21.
This is the duration of the mode: It is not yet known how long you will have this time to extract all the rewards from building 21. But the developers of Warzone 2 themselves have already made it clear that you will still only have a short time to investigate the secret DMZ’s best kept.
Warzone 2: Find the access card to building 21 of the DMZ and loot the laboratory
Access to building 21 of the DMZ: As soon as you start DMZ mode in Warzone 2 – and Building 21 is open – an additional playlist appears at the start of the round. Access is however only possible with an access card, which only the host of the response team needs, and not each player individually. Here’s how to get the access card to Building 21:
- Shoot down a plane in the DMZ with the missiles fixed position
- Bring down a commander’s helicopter from the sky, watch out for helicopters with the skull symbol
- Supply drops from DMZ may contain building 21 access cards.
- You will rarely find access cards in safes or cash registers.
