Moscow. June 17. INTERFAX.RU – De facto, the “grain deal” has no chances, Moscow sees no reason to extend it, since the promise was never made, said the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov.

“It is hardly possible to predict any final decision here, we can only state that, judging de facto by what we have, this deal has no chance,” Peskov said in a statement. interview with Izvestia.

He noted that the deal implies a case, “a case on the part of the contracting states or associations.” “And part of this case was done, and the second part, which concerned the Russian Federation, was never done,” he said.

This, he noted, despite the fact that several times Russia showed goodwill, made concessions and extended the deal. “Therefore, if we state what we have now, then, of course, there are no prospects, there are no grounds for extending it. Because so far what we were promised has not been done,” Peskov said.

Earlier this week, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Western countries once once more deceived Russia by not fulfilling its demands in the “grain deal”, and Moscow is thinking regarding how to get out of this deal.
