Additionally, the new model can record videos 4K at 120 frames per second and also counts on the new tracking technology from DJI, as well as face detection, dynamic framing and much more.

One of the most notable new features is the new 2″ screen, which offers a resolution of 314×556 pixels, 700 nits of brightness and 100% coverage of the P3 HDR color gamut.High dynamic rangeor large dynamic range.”>1. This makes the Osmo Pocket 3 larger than the previous model, although it is still small enough to be stored in a pocket — according to DJI, it is almost the height of an iPhone 12/13.
What’s even more interesting, though, is the fact that you can rotate the screen 90º, which automatically switches the camera from vertical to horizontal orientation.
As stated, the Osmo Pocket 3 now offers 4K video at 120 frames per second (in addition to 2.7K at 120fps and 1080p at 240fps), but only in slow motion mode. DJI has also introduced what it calls a “face-first strategy,” which means automatic exposure adjustments for different skin tones.
The Osmo Pocket 3 is also the company’s latest device to use ActiveTrack 6.0 with facial recognition (following the Osmo Mobile 6), as well as three-axis mechanical stabilization — which allows for smooth movement in all types of recording scenarios.
The newly launched model also has some new audio features. Among them, the stereo microphone can have its pickup direction changed and includes a feature to help block noise. Additionally, there is support for DJI’s own Mic 2 wireless transmitter.
Other features include creative modes like SpinShot (a quick 180º turn with one hand), Motionlapse (time-lapse), Digital Zoom (digital zoom up to 4x) and Panorama (panoramic photos).
In terms of battery, the battery component 1.300mAh supports 120 minutes of 4K recording at 60fps, though you can extend that time by regarding 70% with the separately sold battery strap accessory. It also supports fast charging, going from 0% to 80% in just 16 minutes.
The Osmo Pocket 3 is now available in the DJI store and partners authorized by US$520 or by US$670 no Creator Combo (which includes a DJI Mic 2 transmitter, Pocket 3 battery strap, mini tripod, carrying case, wrist strap, and USB-C cable).
