The murdered wife and the murdered husband
The residents of the village of Kafr El-Jeniniya, affiliated to the city of Nabarwa, Dakahlia Governorate, in northern Egypt, confirmed that the spouses were constantly quarreling because of the husband’s addiction, called Ahmed El-Sayed El-Sabbahi Abu Younes to drugs, specifically El-Shabu drug, and spending his money on buying them, ignoring meeting the demands of his house and his daughter, which the wife refused and demanded. By stopping the addiction and subjecting him to treatment, adding that the husband was constantly beating her, and her cries forced them to intervene and save her from his hands.
The neighbors revealed that the day before yesterday, Tuesday, the wife’s cries renewed once more, announcing the occurrence of a new quarrel, so they told the mother of the wife who resides near them that her daughter is quarreling with her husband, asking her to reach quickly and intervene to calm the situation, stressing that as soon as the wife’s mother arrives at the house and climbs to the apartment located on the second floor, new cries erupted, this time from the mother.
They said that the mother was crying out and chanting, “My daughter was slain,” while everyone and passers-by were surprised by the husband standing on the balcony and shouting, “I slaughtered my wife.” Then he threw himself from the second floor and fell to the ground with serious fractures and was taken to the hospital.
The wife’s mother said that as soon as she got up to the apartment, she witnessed the slaughter and heard her daughter screaming at her husband and telling him, “Divorce me instead of slaughtering me.” She added that she tried to intervene with her body to save her daughter from the slaughter, but the killer was faster than her and managed to kill his wife.
The people of the village attended the body of the wife in a solemn funeral yesterday, while the Public Prosecution office began questioning the neighbors and relatives to ask them.
The residents of Kafr El-Geneina village, affiliated to the city of Nabarwa, Dakahlia Governorate, had informed the security forces of a murder in the village, where a young man had slaughtered his wife. A security force moved to the site of the accident, where the police found Maryam Muhammad Abdul Ghani Al-Basha, 22, a university student, who had been slain, and her head was separated from her body.
By asking her husband, Ahmed Al-Sayed Al-Sabahi Abu Younes, 28, following he was taken to the hospital, he confessed to slaughtering his wife because of differences between them, and for another reason he refused to disclose, which turned out later to be due to the dispute over his drug use.
For its part, the Public Prosecution ordered that the husband be kept in the hospital until his treatment was completed, and demanded that the police intensify their investigations to find out all the circumstances of the incident.
