An official source in Ismaily revealed that there is a split within the club’s board of directors regarding the fate of Hamad Ibrahim, the new coach of the team, due to the continuation of negative results in the Egyptian Premier League.
Al-Ismaili failed to achieve any victory over the 12 rounds it played this season in the league championship, as it tied with Farco (0-0), to remain in the last place with five points.
In his statements, Leila Koura, the source said that some voices in the Ismaili board of directors demanded the departure of Hamad Ibrahim, due to his failure to return the team to the path of victories in his second match with the Dervish.
And the chances of the coach’s departure are possible if the bad results continue until the next pause period to set up the Egypt team’s camp in preparation for the Senegal matches in the final stage of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.
For his part, the Ismaili Board of Directors, headed by Yahya El-Komy, decided to appoint Mohsen Abdel-Masih as a sports advisor to the club’s president, and a general supervisor for the first team.
