Diving: Tom Daley retired after the Olympics in Tokyo – made a comeback and made history in the diving

At the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, Tom Daley became the most successful British diver ever when he partnered with Matty Lee to win the synchronized diving event and became the first Briton to take home four Olympic diving medals.

After the championships, he retired, but made a comeback last winter when his six-year-old son Robbie said he wanted to see his father compete in the Olympics.

– It is very special. To do it in front of my son, who told me to make a comeback, is so special. Now I have a medal in every denomination, he says, according to BBC.

Daley, who won his first Olympic medal in London 2012, now has five Olympic medals: One gold, one silver and three bronze.

No other British swimmer has won so many medals.

The gold was taken by the Chinese Lian Junjie and Yang Hoah. The bronze was taken by the Canadians Rylan Wiens and Nathan Zsombor-Murray.
