The video of the attack on a 13-year-old girl has been circulating on social networks since Wednesday afternoon. The footage shows the victim receiving several blows from another girl. The events took place at Wetteren station. The perpetrator and the victim are classmates, reports Het Laatste Nieuws, which was able to speak with the teenager and her mother.
“This generation is killing itself,” reacted the last, deploring the fact that no one came to help her daughter but that everyone – mostly other students – filmed the scene. “I’m lucky I didn’t fall on the tracks,” added the young victim, who was punched in the face and then thrown to the ground by being pulled by the hair by her attacker. “All the members of the group knew what was going to happen because they were there, ready to film the scene,” explained the teenager, who believes that rumors about her were at the origin of her attack.
An investigation was opened by the local police, who received images of the events.
