The management of Al-Nasr Club Company asked its counterpart in Al-Fateh to pay the agreed upon percentage of the value of the transfer of striker Firas Al-Braikan to Al-Ahly, which is estimated at approximately 35 million riyals.
A private source revealed to Al-Riyadiya that the capital club is requesting 15 percent of the international player’s transfer value, equivalent to 5 million and 250 thousand riyals.
The same source explained that the Nasrawis placed conditions on the Al-Fateh management when selling Al-Braikan’s contract in July 2021 for 7 million, the most important of which was that the latter address the former with the higher offer presented to them if there was a desire to sell, with a clause allowing the Assalaf Al-Asmi to pay the same amount and return the player. He added that if Al-Nasr does not want to benefit from the player’s services, they are entitled to the 15 percent of the transfer value that was contractually agreed upon.
While Al-Fateh Club responded to Al-Nassrawi’s claims that Firas Al-Braikan terminated his contract and was not sold, so Al-Nasr was not notified and thus the yellow team’s right to obtain the sale percentage fell, according to the source.
He pointed out that correspondence is still ongoing between the two parties, as the Nasrawians insist on collecting the amount for Al-Braikan’s transfer, so that the total return from the player’s departure exceeds regarding 12 million due to his transfer to Al-Fateh, and then to Al-Ahly. In light of this, Al-Riyadiya contacted Ahmed Al-Issa, CEO of Al-Fateh Club, to comment on the case, but he refused.
