Technology developed in Brazil by Tecnogera brings a solution for disposing of electric batteries
Tecnogera, a leading Brazilian company in the temporary energy sector, developed a technology in the country that might be the solution for disposing of batteries at the end of their life cycle.
Tecnogera’s Mobile Battery Energy Storage System hits the market, following a year of research and testing, with the proposal to use lithium batteries at the end of their life cycle for vehicles and mobile equipment, which become useful once more for store electrical energy and guarantee temporary mobile energy solutions in markets where the company is already a reference, such as commercial establishments, industrial operations, events, among other uses.
Battery Energy Storage System produced with reused cells from the mobility sector can help transform the energy sector in the country.
The new equipment can assist or replace diesel-powered generators – widely used as a temporary source of energy, to supply in cases of problems in the electrical grids. Tecnogera’s innovative system will make its debut in style, being responsible for the energy that will project the films of the 27th edition of the Tiradentes Film Festival, which takes place from January 19th to 27th, the most important exhibition of national cinema and which this year will also will bring sustainable appeal as a result of the partnership with Tecnogera.
The technology, a pioneer in Brazil, consists of a mobile energy storage system using lithium batteries, mounted on a 100% electric truck also powered by batteries, which provides clean energy, without pollutant emissions.
“The system guarantees safety and efficiency, in addition to being silent and sustainable. The solution we developed reinforces our expertise and credibility in developing solutions in Brazil, in addition to exploring total synergy between our temporary energy business and equipment for work and access at heights”, comments Arthur Lavieri, CEO of Tecnogera.
Tecnogera’s product was created from the union of two sides of the company’s business: on the one hand, it is the national leader in generator rental and temporary energy solutions. On the other, it is a pioneer in Brazil by adopting a fleet of platforms for access and work at heights 100% powered by lithium batteries. The company invested more than 500 hours of its engineering team and R$1 million into the development of the technology.
“Used batteries at the end of their life cycle for our own traction applications on work platforms at heights can now be reused and have their lives extended in stationary energy solutions with our existing customers and markets, in addition to being able to complement or be an alternative to our traditional solutions with fuel-powered generators, explains Lavieri.
At its debut, Tecnogera’s new system will provide approximately 1 MWh of clean energy to power the loads at Cine Praça, a space open free of charge to the public and a central element of the 27th Tiradentes Film Festival. This will be the first edition of the Exhibition not to use diesel generators for energy security and the supply of primary energy used in the projection of its films, without interruption.
