The Minister of Social Affairs and Humanitarian Action, Irène Mboukou-Kimbatsa brought in particular mattresses, mosquito nets, sheets and others.
In central Ngabé, 60 households, or 192 displaced people from the DRC, have found refuge. They come from neighboring villages on the other side of the Congo River where inter-ethnic conflicts are rife. 433 other displaced people are in the surrounding villages of the center of Ngabé.
The Minister of Social Affairs and Humanitarian Action, Irène Mboukou-Kimbatsa visited the field on August 24, 2022. Accompanied by a delegation from the High Commissioner for Refugees, it was for her to inquire regarding the situation.
The Minister provided these vulnerable people with basic humanitarian kits made up of food and non-food items including mattresses, mosquito nets, sheets, kits for breastfeeding and pregnant women.
For the time being, the teams of this Ministry are crisscrossing the villages surrounding the locality of Ngabé to ensure that no displaced person has been forgotten.
