After Disney Dreamlight Valley, Gameloft still has its Mario Kart-Like Disney Speedstorm under its belt. And he took advantage of the Disney & Marvel Games Showcase at D23 to show himself in a little more detail with a new video.

Jack Sparrow, Mickey, Mulan et Sully font la course

This is not a new announcement. It’s been a while now that we know of the existence of Disney Speedstorm. Mario Kart-Like with Disney sauce (and free-to-play on top of the market) was unveiled during the Nintendo Direct last February. Since then, he has shown himself many times, gradually revealing his characters and his circuits. During the Disney & Marvel Games Showcase at D23, the game didn’t make any big announcements, but it did show itself in a bit more detail with the video above.

We were indeed entitled to a new trailer which featured Mickey Mouse, Mulan, Captain Jack Sparrow and finally Sully from Monsters and Co. We might see that each of them had a kart corresponding to their personality or their universe. Mulan can thus attack enemies using the dragon-shaped weapon that she uses once morest the Huns in the cartoon. Captain Jack Sparrow wields a sword-shaped gear stick. Everything was shown along a frenzied race on a circuit dedicated to Monsters and Co. However, still no release date. We will have to settle for a vague “coming soon” for the moment.

Gameloft and Disney, a rolling business

It must be said that Gameloft is very busy at the moment. Earlier in the week, the studio released in early access another title in the Disney universe: Disney Dreamlight Valley. Rather similar to Animal Crossing, the game was able to produce a small effect. The day following its release in early access, it indeed rose to first place in Steam sales. A great feat, especially since the title still has plenty of room for maneuver before its final release.

Suffice to say that if Disney Speedstorm meets the same success, this partnership between Disney and Gameloft will prove to be particularly fruitful. And who knows, maybe we’ll see another game of the genre, like a Mario Party in the Disney universe for example. While waiting to see what the future holds for us, you can already register on the game’s official website so you don’t miss any information.
