Dismantle child prostitution network

Officials carried out several investigations, so that those involved in the crime were later captured.

A police commission from the Simón Bolívar Municipality, Anzoátegui state, arrested five citizens, four men and one woman, since they were allegedly part of a criminal network dedicated to child prostitution.

One of the apprehended was identified as the mother of the victim, specified the information provided by José Gregorio Ferrer, director of the police force in the entity.

Officials carried out the arrests, following a minor filed a complaint with the Council for the Protection of Boys, Girls and Adolescents (Cpnna).

The complainant said that her mother had offered her as a sexual object for three years, this in exchange for money and with the help of the others involved.

The Police processed the information and began several investigations, until they found the suspects and proceeded to capture them.

The quintet will be investigated by the Sixteenth Prosecutor of the Public Ministry.
