General practitioner Tatyana Romanenko told us what diseases pale skin can be a sign of.

According to her, such a symptom can be observed with anemia, problems with the heart, blood vessels and kidneys. At the same time, the most common cause of pale skin is a deficiency of iron and B vitamins. “If there are few red blood cells, hemoglobin, and the blood is not sufficiently saturated with oxygen, then, of course, the skin will be pale and dry,” Romanenko explained in an interview with “Moscow 24”.

Pale skin can also warn of atherosclerosis or heart failure. “The skin may be pale, sometimes even blue lips are observed. The limbs become not just pale, but already blue,” Romanenko clarified.

If a person has problems with the kidneys, swelling may occur, blood vessels may constrict and, as a result, the color of the skin may change, the therapist added.

Earlier, gastroenterologist Evgeny Belousov named those who need to give up coffee forever.
