First meeting with users of ‘Platform Private Autonomous Organization’

The Korea Communications Commission and the Fair Trade Commission held their first meeting with consumers and users of the ‘Platform Private Autonomous Organization’ at the Korea Press Center in Sejong-ro on the 20th.

The Consumer and User Division is a working-level division of the platform private autonomous organization launched on August 19th.

At the meeting, platform operators and related associations discussed self-regulations proposed by consumers and users together.

Relevant ministries such as the Ministry of Strategy and Finance and the Personal Information Protection Committee also attended and listened to their opinions.

Professor Heon-Young Kwon of Korea University, who presided over the meeting, said, “Smooth communication between the parties is of paramount importance for the success of platform self-regulation to protect consumers and users. asked to do it.

The government participants said, “We will actively support the operation of the division so that the autonomous organization can fulfill its role as a communication channel between private stakeholders.”

The Korea Communications Commission and the Fair Trade Commission expected that the Consumer and User Subcommittee would play a key role in the process of reflecting the voices of platform consumers and users in self-regulation as an axis of platform self-regulation.
