Bugatti Chiron Profilée: Discovery of the One-Off presented at auction
As exclusive as La Voiture Noire, the Bugatti Chiron Profilée one-off will be sold at auction on February 1, 2023.
In 2020, with the introduction of the Chiron Pur Sport, the world discovered a Chiron of superlatives. With a fixed 1.83 meter wide rear wing, state-of-the-art magnesium wheels and many other innovations. All copies sold out quickly. But some customers wanted a vehicle that incorporated some of the features of the Chiron Pur Sport while retaining the timeless elegance of models such as the Chiron and Chiron Sport. This is how the Chiron Profilée* was born.
*The name “Profilée” is inspired by the Bugatti Type 46, which was one of Jean Bugatti’s first creations and which also featured an elegantly upturned stern.
A creation of the Atelier Bugatti
The design and development of the Chiron Profilée began in autumn 2020. The Profilée borrows its purity from the Pur Sport. Like her, she was designed for lateral grip and ultimate acceleration. With the same W16 engine and a 15% shorter gear ratio than the Chiron Sport. Likewise, it takes 0 to 100 km/h in 2.3 seconds and 0 to 200 km/h in 5.5 seconds. And, reaches a top speed of 380 km/h, against 350 km/h for the Chiron Pur Sport.
The Profiled offers a bespoke design with a large fixed wing at the rear and performs two important functions. On the one hand, the wing increases the downforce on the rear axle, ensuring stability and control of the vehicle up to maximum speed. On the other hand, it extracts hot air from the engine in two ways through an internal duct.
An exclusive color
Bugatti has painted the unique hypercar in an exclusive Atlantic Silver color, combined with a visible carbon fiber underbody with Royal Blue Carbon tint. The Profiled wheels are also unique and painted in Le Patron to match the bottom of the car. Meanwhile, polished aluminum accents complete the exterior changes.
Its chic cabin is the first such of a Chiron with a braided leather finish and the use of more than 2,500 meters of leather straps. The seats are upholstered in leather in Gris Rafale and Deep Blue with the “Air Parade” quilted pattern. Additionally, Bugatti updated the center console with black anodized frame inlays to accentuate the Profiled script.
