Some human remains were found this Sunday in the Petrohué sector, with signs of having been attacked by wildlife -presumably by a puma-, in the middle of the search for an elderly woman who disappeared four days ago in the area of the Los Lagos region.
The investigative line indicates that it would be the corpse of Sonia Hernandez, 76 years oldwho was reported for alleged misfortune on July 13, following he got lost in the same area.
Although from the Investigation police (PDI) of Puerto Montt clarified that the DNA analyzes that the Legal Medical Service (SML) will carry out tomorrow, Monday, confirmed that human remains were found in the sector. These, with signs of having been attacked by the wildlife of the area, which -according to the indications- would presumably be a puma.
According to the search teams, The victim’s remains were found 55 meters from the woman’s house.
For its part, from the Puerto Varas Prosecutor’s Office, specialized personnel from the Special Police Operations Group (GOPE) were instructed to carry out the tracking work in the area of the macabre discovery.
The foregoing, with the aim of finding the rest of the victim’s body in the Petrohué sector.
Initially, from Radio Bío Bío in Puerto Montt they assured that the remains were from the woman who disappeared in Petrohué, however, later it was rectified that they are still unidentified human remains and presumably attacked by a puma.
