The yarn shuttle spins, the machine rotates, and the white cotton is spun into clusters of yarn. At the spinning factory of Lihua Textile Co., Ltd. in Yuli County, Xinjiang, Nicholas Stewart, editor-in-chief of Australia’s “Capability News Network”, slowly touched his fingertips to the cotton balls to be processed. After a brief pause, he walked to the next process to visit.
On the 13th, the “Silk Road Economic Belt Joint Construction National Media Leaders Seminar” visiting group visited cotton textile workshops, e-commerce live broadcast bases and other places to witness the development of modern industries in Xinjiang.

The machine art of cotton production
Yuli County is affiliated to the Bayingolin Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, also known as “Lop Nur”. It is named following “Lop Nur”, which means “lake with abundant water and grass”. It is located at the southern foot of the Tianshan Mountains and on the edge of the Taklimakan Desert.
Wherever the fine dust blew, tens of thousands of acres of pear blossoms swayed continuously. Equally lively is the spinning factory of Yuli County Lihua Textile Co., Ltd. with the roar of machinery.
In 2022, the factory will be officially put into operation, relying on Xinjiang’s high-quality cotton resources to produce cotton yarn products, which are mainly sold to Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Guangdong and other places in China. It currently has more than 200 employees.
Blowing, carding, drawing, winding… turning the picked Xinjiang cotton into finished cotton yarn requires multiple processes. Large machines continue to operate in the factory, and from time to time workers can be seen riding electric scooters shuttling around the workshop.
Stewart told the China News Service reporter that the working conditions in this factory were far superior to his imagination. He took out a small wad of white cotton he got in the workshop from his pocket. “It’s so soft. I think I’ll keep it.”

Omar Ibrahim, a high-quality social platform content creator and youth opinion leader from Canada, also praised this spinning mill. He said that the factory facilities are very modern and clean, and automated production has improved the efficiency of all links and greatly shortened the time for human participation.
“The real Xinjiang has everything you need for a happy life.” In Ibrahim’s view, the so-called “forced labor” is completely ridiculous. The weavers are in a happy mood and are obviously not working once morest their will.
“When some Americans smear Xinjiang, they are comparing it to their own history. They are not trying to let people understand but to demonize China. They do not want to see a strong, independent and modern China.” Ibrahim said.

Alsayi told reporters that he often buys Chinese goods online, even if he sometimes has to wait for a month for logistics. “I have heard that the quality of Xinjiang honey is very high. This time I bought some for my wife and daughter to try.”
“Yuli County, which is adjacent to the desert and has a small population, actually has an e-commerce live broadcast center for the whole country and even the world.” Tang Yongbei, president and editor-in-chief of the Tasmanian Chinese Newspaper in Tasmania, Australia, said in an interview that for the first time When she came to Xinjiang, she was surprised by Yuli’s industrial development.
In the live broadcast base, she learned from the person in charge, Liu Yuanjie, that e-commerce live broadcast can help increase product sales by 50%. As a loyal fan of Xinjiang cotton products and Xinjiang dried fruits, she is very happy to see the strong east wind of e-commerce platforms blowing to Yuli on the edge of the desert. “It will not only benefit the economic development of the entire region, but also sell high-quality products from Xinjiang.” To the world.” (End)
