The producers of the competition also mentioned differences in the creative approach of cities. Basel wants the competition to take place not only in its zones, but covered the entire city. Various attractions are planned in many places, and the broadcaster was particularly interested in the concept Stadium Plus.
Local authorities and residents celebrate the success, rejoicing that as a symbolic city at the tripoint of borders will be able to welcome fans from all over the world and television delegations from over 30 countries. The benefits for other Swiss cities and the profits that Eurovision will bring to e.g. hotels in borders of France and Germany. Basel politicians do not want to estimate the financial balance for now. They refer to the results published after Eurovision 2023 by Liverpool, which recorded a multi-million income thanks to the arrival of thousands of fans.
Eurovision 2025: Canton plans budget
Even before the host was chosen, local authorities announced the outline of the financial resources they want to allocate for the 69th edition of the show. The government of the canton of Basel has planned expenditures of 35 million francs, tj. ok. 37 mln euro. 14,6 mln francs are intended for Infrastructure issues and possible reconstructions in the St. Jakobshalle area. In turn 7,9 mln is a contribution to safety considerations, in this 500 thousand francs covers cybersecurity. During the aforementioned press conference, the organizers did not provide any information about the expected final cost of securing the entire competition. The discussion and vote on the budget in the local parliament are scheduled for Wednesday, September 11th.

Opening Ceremony and attractions for fans. What is it about Stadion Plus? When are tickets?
