“Uranyl acetate” was found at the Prefectural Industrial Technology Center in Otsumachi, Kofu City on the 18th of this month when the chemicals were being sorted out and found in a glass container in the chemical storage.
This drug store has been unused for at least 30 years.
The radiation dose on the surface of the container and the door of the chemical storage is 0.06 microsieverts per hour, which is below the exposure limit, and the center does not affect the human body.
