Like every week, we set out to discover the producers and companies that are gathered under the aegis of the Hautes-Alpes Naturellement brand of the Chamber of Agriculture.
And for the past few weeks, we have been discovering the wood sector which aims to promote the wood of our region, as we have seen at the Mostachetti sawmill in Embrun or at Alpes Méditerranée Charpente in Saint-Crépin.
Today, it is another variation that we went to explore: that of the production of wood pellets.
This is the vocation of Valentin Jeanselme’s company, “Les Granulés de bois des Hautes-Alpes”, launched in 2018.
After a terrible fire, Valentin and those accompanying him have decided to bounce back, and in a good way. They have just completed their production unit at La Roche des Arnauds by investing to become the largest producer of pellets in the southern region: Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur.
