Discover the nominees of the Ingénieuses 2023 operation!

The juries have made their selections! Eight schools, three student-engineers and five female engineers have been nominated as part of Ingénieuses, the competition which promotes the orientation of young girls towards scientific and technical courses. Discover the nominees!

A CDEFI initiative, the 13th edition of Ingénieuses was launched on January 16, 2023 with the opening of applications for the competition. Following the close of applications, the juries met on April 5, 10 and 11 to select this year’s nominees.

For this new edition, 178 files were received for the Ingénieuses competition in order to promote gender equality and diversity in engineering training and professions. The goal is to attract more young girls to engineering.

The files were studied by different juries:

  • New jury high schoolmade up of 26 students from the Camille Claudel high school in Pontault-Combault (77), met on April 5 to study 54 school projects.
  • The jury of Maghreb engineering student prizemade up of representatives of the Agence universitaire de la Francophonie – North Africa and members of the Regional Commission of Economic and Scientific Experts (CREES), met on April 10 to study 13 applications.
  • The main jury was made up of representatives of CDEFI and partners and supporters of Ingénieuses. Engineering Techniques had the pleasure of participating in this jury. It met on April 11 to study 165 projects and applications.

And the nominees are :

  • for the price for engineering schools (five prizes will be awarded):
    • Bordeaux Sciences Agrofor her “Empower women” project,
    • l’Efreifor his project “Program’her”,
    • ESIEE Parisfor his project “Et Si Ingénieur s’Ecritait avec un E”,
    • Grenoble INP – Ense3for her project “Epopées de Femmes”,
    • l’INSA Hauts-de-Francefor her project “Girls, dare the sciences”,
    • Mines Saint-Etiennefor his project “Sciences of all kinds”,
    • Toulouse INP – ENSEEIHTfor her “WomeN7” project,
    • l’UTCfor its “Equality Month” project;
  • for the student-engineer prize France :
    • Léa GAONAC’Hengineering student at Chimie ParisTech – PSL,
    • Audrey TEIXEIRAengineering student at Centrale Lyon,
    • Zoe TOINEAUengineering student at Polytech Sorbonne;
  • for the female engineer award (two prizes will be awarded):
    • Julia CANTELgraduate of the ENSCR and holder of a master’s degree from Chimie ParisTech – PSL, project manager at EDF Energy (United Kingdom),
    • Marjorie CAVARROC WEIMERa graduate of Polytech Orléans, research and technology engineer and Materials and Processes expert at Safran,
    • Victoria DA POIAN, ISAE-SUPAÉRO graduate, Data Scientist and aerospace engineer at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center (United States),
    • Gaelle Rondepierrea graduate of CentraleSupélec (ex-Centrale Paris) and doctor of ESPCI Paris, advanced research engineer in physico-chemistry at L’Oréal,
    • Sophie TONNOIRISEP graduate, Cloud Solution Architect at Microsoft France

The next meeting is May 11, 2023 face-to-face in Paris (exact location communicated soon) for the Ingénieuses 2023 award ceremony.
