Forty new seats, an entirely new sound and light system, everything has been redesigned to best accommodate artists and the public. The old hall, the Georges Brassens cultural space, was built in the 1980s. “We were already professionals but we also did a bit of DIY. Now we are entering a new era”confides Philippe Leclant, Deputy Mayor of Saint-Gély-du-Fesc in charge of Culture and Communication.

A new cultural center north of Montpellier

The cultural offer of Hérault continues to diversify and is no longer concentrated in Montpellier. To strengthen its offer, the community of municipalities of the Grand Pic Saint-Loup has therefore decided to acquire a new performance hall. “North of Montpellier, there was a lack of cultural equipment like this. It’s now done!”rejoices Philippe Leclant.

On the program, music, but also theater, modern and contemporary dance performances… With this new room, Saint-Gély-du-Fesc reinforces the program of its seventh cultural season. Open since March 18, it has already hosted a recital of Corsican songs and a jazz concert. “The first two concerts were sold out. It shows that the equipment meets a real demand”explains the cultural assistant.

The other novelty is a fully dematerialized ticket office. It is now possible to buy tickets directly on the internet on the site www.ladevoiselle.com
