In detail, the Walloon Region is the least expensive in the country, with a median price of 175,000 euros for houses with two to three facades and apartments, against 290,000 euros for houses with four facades. In Flanders, it takes about 100,000 euros more for houses with two to three facades (285,000 euros), and for four facades (395,000 euros). Apartments (235,000 euros) are 60,000 euros more expensive there than in Wallonia and almost 20,000 euros cheaper than in Brussels (254,750 euros). The capital wins the prize for the most expensive houses: 491,750 euros for adjoining houses and three facades, 1.15 million euros for those with four.

Top ten that are not really top ten

At the level of the municipalities, Statbel draws up, as usual, a ranking of the ten entities where the houses and apartments are the most and the least expensive in their Region.

Which, on closer inspection, could be summed up, for houses, in a top five of the most expensive municipalities in the country, exceeding, and sometimes largely, the 700,000 euro mark: Ixelles (790,000 euros), Knokke-Heist and Sint-Martens-Latem equally (750,000 euros), Woluwe-Saint-Pierre (739,000 euros) and Lasne (704,125 euros). The other entities are far behind, posting, compared to their respective regional top, lower prices of some 160,000 euros in Flanders (Kraainem, 589,500 euros) and Wallonia (Waterloo, at 535,000 euros), and 40,000 euros in Brussels (Uccle, at 696,000 euros).

In terms of apartments, apart from Knokke (545,000 euros) which, in Flanders, is 120,000 euros distant from Hove (425,000 euros), the prices charged are changing in a pocket handkerchief in the rankings of municipalities established by Statbel for each Region .
