Forza Horizon 5 is one of the most sensational racing games ever. With already gargantuan content when it was released, the title continues to grow thanks to the follow-up of its developer, Playground Games. This Thursday, December 31, the studio will launch a new in-game season with several new features already listed and a new update rich in fixes. General fixes
- Improved stability and performance
- Improved saving for the weekly Forzathon to reduce the chance of losing progress.
- Updated ticket voucher descriptions to be more specific regarding their function.
- Updated the seasonal event map indicators to match the indicators on the seasonal hazard signs.
- Fixed a bug where brake calipers were left behind the car when arriving in free ride
- Added a head-up display for cars with race mode functionality to support the Ford Mustang Mach-E’s new transmission shift mode.
- Added low-res mesh under the world to improve the visual aspect when certain parts of the map disappear at high altitude.
- Dirty Air Downforce Recalibration: The amount of downforce is reduced when the surrounding air is laden with dust.
Online game
- Horizon Open has been updated with a new progression system including badges that can be unlocked through play.
- Added Custom Races to Horizon Open
- Fixed some cases where the player might wait longer than necessary in the post-race screen.
PC fixes
- Fixed an issue where distant trees might appear black or very dark on the Very Low preset.
- Fixed a crash that occurred in the Livery Editor when Ray Tracing was enabled.
Cars
- Fixed a bump on Jaguar XJS220s.
- Fixed incorrect positioning of the brake calipers on the 2014 VW Golf R.
- The protective cockpit was added to the sports chassis reinforcement instead of the racing chassis reinforcement on the 2016 Porsche Cayman GT4.
- Fixed the issue where one of the rear brake calipers of the 2020 Lamborghini Hurácan Evo might not be painted.
- Fixed an issue where the passenger side rear brake caliper might not be painted on the 2010 Lexus LFA.
- Fixed a livery positioning issue with the 2018 KTM X-Bow
- Fixed compressor silence on some muscle cars, especially Dodges
- Fixed 2012 Gallardo LP570-4 Spyder Performante hood not matching selected color.
- Fixed broken pattern on Work Emotion 11R rims
- Work Emotion M8R rims were not displaying correctly with certain paint options.
- Fixed the gear shift animation on the 1968 Renault 4L
EventLab
- Added a gravity impact option to the game rules that allows players to manipulate gravity in EventLab creations.
- Added an option to preview sounds
- When choosing manual shifts, the route editor is moved from the View button to the Route Options menu to avoid conflicts with checkpoint creation.
- Fixed an issue where players might get stuck following an event when loading into Free Ride.
- Fixed an issue where the game of your own EventLab creation following publishing might sometimes cause it to load without assets.
Distinctions
- Fixed an issue where “The Completionist” Commendation would not unlock despite having the correct conditions enabled.
