Since the early morning on the first day of Eid Al Fitr, parks, public beaches, and tourist and recreational facilities in Ras Al Khaimah have attracted thousands of residents, hikers, and tourists. As scenes of pleasure and joy were formed by families, groups of friends and individuals.
The manifestations of joy and celebration of the feast were distributed among separate areas in Ras Al Khaimah, amid the widespread deployment and great efforts of the Ras Al Khaimah Police General Command patrols to maintain security and safety, with a parallel deployment of the “Raqib” patrols of the General Services Department to protect the environment and public natural resources.
Jebel Jais – the highest in the country – attracted a high percentage of Eid celebrants, coming from various Emirates. The queues of cars stretched across the mountain road leading to the “summit”, while the Saqr Public Park in Al-Digdaka region received the lion’s share of the turnout and celebration of the holiday, in addition to a tangible turnout by the people to parks and public rest houses in the north and south of the emirate.
Ras Al Khaimah hotels recorded high occupancy rates by residents and tourists, and the markets and commercial centers witnessed an active movement on the night of Eid and the morning of the first day of the holiday, and a significant increase in sales rates, especially sweets, clothes, and food stores, followed by children’s toys stores, flowers, and others.
