Live and in public from the St Louis cloister, Mathilde Wagman talks with the directors Philippe Quesne, Emilie Monnet and Pauline Bayle around their respective creations, presented in Avignon during this 77th edition.
In his new creation The Garden of Delightsdirectly inspired by the painting by the painter Jérôme Bosch, Philippe Quesne stages a retrofuturistic epic, mixing ecological science fiction, medieval bestiary and contemporary western. Actors and musicians take the viewer on a journey through time, exploring the worlds to come.

After adapting lost illusions de Balzac in 2020, Virginia Woolf is being tackled this year Pauline Bayle – director of the Public Theater of Montreuil – in her new creation write his life, presented at the Cloître des Carmes in Avignon, from July 8 to 16, then at the Public Theater of Montreuil from September 26 to October 23.
