The Drachengasse Theater in Vienna has developed into a hotspot for young theater talent over the past fifteen years. Since 2007, the stage near Schwedenplatz, which was once founded by Emmy Werner and is now managed by Beate Platzgummer and Katrin Schurich, has been holding a competition for which an average of sixty projects from all over the German-speaking world are submitted each year. This year’s finale runs until June 7th, in which four selected newcomer works on the motto “The Stolen Future” compete for the jury prize and the audience prize.
