“A Swiss series for an international audience”: the mission assigned to Davos 2017 is clear. German-speaking TV SRF, which co-produces with the German ARD, is betting big: in total, 18 million francs for six episodes, the biggest budget of its kind in Switzerland and a comfortable allocation on a European scale. Some means were needed to show, among other things, the engulfment of a steam train by an avalanche in Graubünden. The series has also put a strain on the Rhaetian Railwaysmuch in demand.
