After passing the Wellbeing Park along the Gohyeoncheon Trail and walking for regarding 5 minutes in the direction of Geoje Sangmun High School, red poppies started to bloom in the newly created flower garden.
As part of the Green Sangmun-dong maintenance project, since last April, Sangmun-dong has installed benches on empty land near the Gohyeoncheon promenade and created a poppy flower field for residents.
The planting time was carefully adjusted so that you can see the poppies dyed red when the poppies in other regions fall.
Son Sun-hee, director of Sangmun Village, said, “I hope this will be a space where you can enjoy the small pleasures of sitting on a bench while taking a walk along Gohyeoncheon Stream, appreciating the beautiful poppies, and taking pictures of your memories.”
