The premiere of “Grand Hotel” on ANT1 has been set for Monday, September 23. The season series, which will be broadcast daily at 21.00, is expected to captivate the audience with the story and the performances of the actors.
Kifissia 1925… Three years after the Asia Minor disaster… It all begins when a refugee maid disappears from a luxury hotel in Kifissia.
Petros, her daring brother, determined to find out the truth, breaks into the “Grand Hotel”, pretending to be a waiter, and begins an investigation that will prove to be threatening even to his life… He will try to infiltrate the Good Society of the time, to reveal untold truths and shocking secrets and to “open” some doors that should remain closed forever…
In his quest to find out what happened, he will meet the ultimate love in the eyes of Alice, daughter of the hotel owner, a young, progressive woman with an open mind, who in order to save the family fortune, is forced to betroth the ambitious and calculating Manager of the hotel, Riga… Alice, despite discovering Petros’ true identity, agrees to help him learn the truth about his sister, openly challenging her family and endangering her own life… Will Petros manage to find out what happened to his sister and why?

PETROS ASLANOGLOU (Yiannis Koukourakis)
Bold and fearless, brash and charming. A refugee from Smyrna, originally from a wealthy Greek family who lost everything there and ended up in Thessaloniki to start from scratch. He comes to Kifissia to shed light on the mysterious disappearance of his maid sister, and takes a job as a waiter at the Grand Hotel under a false name. He falls head over heels in love with Alice, before even learning that she is the daughter of the hotel owner. The two quickly develop a special relationship of trust and their love grows stronger, but it can only remain unfulfilled. Petros, however, is determined to claim his happiness with the audacity of a man who is right on his side and who has nothing else to lose.
ALIKI GAZI (Kalliope Haska)
Daughter of Kyveli Gazi, owner of the Grand Hotel. Beautiful, well mannered and educated. Although he always made sure to keep the types, he never really compromised with the dictates of the time. She agrees to marry Rigas, because she cannot oppose her mother, who convinces her that this is the only way to save the Grand Hotel. All this until she met and fell in love with Petros. He brings her into contact with the harsh reality and harshness of life, where everyone is capable of anything under the “right” conditions. He has been in her own privileged position, but she, with him, is faced with the possibility of a total reversal of the facts of her life.
GAS BUCKET (Daphni Lambrogianni)
Owner of the Grand Hotel, widow of Constantinos Gazis and mother of Sofia, Aliki and Jordanis. She considers herself superior to others and demands that this be made clear. It is strict, dogmatic, absolute and manipulative. She does not accept anything other than what she has in mind and always acts according to her personal interest and what she thinks is right for her children and for the hotel. A woman who doesn’t know and doesn’t like to lose…
RIGAS ALEXIOU (Giorgos Gerontidakis)
He started as a simple employee of the hotel and quickly managed to become the right hand of its owner, Konstantinos Gazis. When he died, Kyveli appointed him Director of the Grand Hotel. Rigas hides his origin and his traumatic past from everyone. He is in love with Alice, but mainly he is engaged to her for reasons of interest and social image. He is capable of going to extremes to maintain his control and influence. He thirsts more for power and recognition than for money.
COUNTESS SOFIA GAZI-DESLOR (Georgia Kouvaraki)
Sophia, Alice’s older sister, was home-schooled in French, piano, and how to shut up and do what her mother told her so she could find the right husband. She may not have been as pretty as Alice, but she always won points with her good manners and propriety. When a count, Alexandre Deslores, asked her in marriage, she believed that all her dreams had come true. She could not have imagined, however, that this is where all her problems would begin.
JORDANIS GAZIS (Stathis Koikas)
Iordanis, unlike his sister, Sofia, always sought to attract the attention of his parents with negative behaviors. It was, after all, the only way his mother would pay attention to him. Iordanis never managed to finish his studies at the Higher Industrial University and, after his father’s death, he became cut off from his family and the hotel and became involved with gambling, alcohol, illegal betting and loose girls.
ANGELA PSARYANOU (Kora Karvounis)
Mother of Nikolas, she married very young, but her husband immediately left her and disappeared from her life. Angela quickly took a job at the Grand Hotel to provide for herself and her son and rose to be the hotel’s Housekeeper. A strict, tough, measured and sharp woman, but also tender and giving, she is excellent at her job and the soul of the hotel. “Mother” of all, she advises them, comforts them, but also argues with them and admonishes them.
NIKOLAS PSARIANOS (Lambros Constanteas)
Nicholas, Angela’s son, grew up at the Grand Hotel, but was never allowed to hang out with the Family’s children. He works as a waiter in the hotel, he is sweet, modest, kind-hearted and very anxious. As soon as he gets to know Petros, he supports him without a second thought and becomes his confidant friend. He is very much in love with Eleni, but without response…
ELENI KEHAGIA (Yolanda Kalogeropoulou)
Maid at the Grand Hotel, former roommate of Vasiliki, Petros’ missing sister. Eleni, even though she is from a poor neighborhood of Elefsina and grew up in poverty, she always had the ambition to change her destiny and she knew that there is only one way to achieve this: through some rich man. He falls in love with Rigas and is momentarily convinced that he will leave Alice for her…
COUNT ALEXANDROS DESLOR (Michalis Syriopoulos)
Husband of Sophia, scion of an aristocratic family with titles of nobility. Alexandros is the only descendant of Pavlos Deslor’s family and a constant disappointment to his father. He spent his childhood in the palaces of various royal families of Europe. Alexander had no stable face in his life and he failed to be accepted by any environment. Constantly troubled by superiority and inferiority complexes, principles and morality are above all for him, but he can also become vindictive when he loses.

CHARALAMPIS IAKOVIDIS (Tassos Nousias)
He arrived from Smyrna in Kifissia, in September 1922, having lost everything. Porter of the Grand Hotel with his cart, he also works as a day laborer wherever he can find, but he lives mainly by finding young people willing to fight in the local coffee shop for illegal bets by taking percentages. Cheerful, but also serious, he counts his words and prefers to remain silent when he has nothing good to say. Tender and sensitive deep down, but hard shelled to survive. He is deeply in love with Theoni, who brings out the best in him, but circumstances do not allow them to be together.
THEONI TSAKIROGLOU (Antigone Fryda)
Theoni was a piano teacher in Smyrna and her husband a notary public. They have a daughter together, Despina, 20 years old. A woman of manners who, before the Catastrophe, had a staff of servants and had never engaged in domestic work, her hands being valuable tools of her craft. She lost her husband in the Disaster and to this day she does not know if he is alive or dead. She is sweet, serious, decent, measured and hardworking, she lives in the “refugees” and does everything she can to adapt to her new life…
VLASSIS KATRANIS (Alexander Varthis)
Vlassis was born in a shack in Piraeus and this is all he knows about his origins, because he grew up in an orphanage. Delinquent and opportunistic, he was always looking for opportunities and people to take advantage of. He owns a cafe near the refugee quarter, but in essence, his shop is a window, since there he organizes boxing matches for illegal betting. He is also involved in liquor smuggling.
PELAGIA MAVRIDOU (Foteini Papatheodorou)
Pelagia is a girl from a good family from Smyrna. Her father, mother and three brothers were neighbors with Theoni’s family and her mother, very friendly with them. Unfortunately, her entire family was killed in the Asia Minor Catastrophe and Theoni “adopted” her, giving her false hope that she might be reunited with her own. Unabashed, collected and gullible, she needs somewhere to be caught.
Soumela PANAGIOTIDOU (Heleni Karakasi)
Sumela was born in Polis, but lived in Smyrna until the Catastrophe. She has three sons who immigrated to America and she lost her husband to pneumonia a few months after they came to Greece. She managed to get back on her feet and will get a job at the Grand Hotel as a cook. Kind-hearted, talkative, loud, always smiling and willing to help anyone who needs her…
THE POLICEMAN CHRONIS COMNINOS (Gerasimos Skiadaresis)
A smart, strict and cultured policeman who, from the moment he appears at the hotel, is a Nemesis for the Gazi family, a family that has little to hide… With his innovative methods and sharp wit he never stays on the surface of things and tries to penetrate the deepest secrets of the people of the hotel…
