A travel campaign organized in China aimed at the tourism promotion of Saudi Arabia has concluded. An exhibition describing Saudi culture, heritage and natural beauty was also organized. More than 400 business partners, media and Chinese travel organizations were part of the campaign.
The week-long campaign was organized under the name ‘Embark on a Journey of Discovery to Saudi’. The Saudi Tourism Authority stated that there was a huge participation of the Chinese masses in the campaign organized on the Shanghai Bund waterfront. Exhibits and testimonials were showcased that evoked Saudi culture, heritage, and natural beauty.
Around one lakh visitors came to the exhibition city which lasted for a week. The Saudi Tourism Authority has announced that it has been able to reach 500 million Chinese people through Chinese national television and other digital platforms. More than one lakh Chinese tourists have already visited Saudi Arabia in 2023. The campaign is being organized with an aim to increase this to 50 lakhs in the coming years.
