A new financial and uncapped incentive model for streaming, TV and cinema productions as well as post-production has been in force in Germany since 2023. 30 percent of the funds invested in Austria are refunded. Ecological criteria can bring five percentage points more.
Were the expectations met? “Yes, this is a game changer. It’s going even better than expected,” says Alexander Dumreicher-Ivanceanu, producer (Amour Fou Film) and chairman of the film industry in the Chamber of Commerce.
