– But it is certain that we will not open in Thisted right away. The expectation is that it won’t be until the end of next year, says Peter Jakobsen.
As long as the location is right
The country manager has previously said that the locations have been selected on the basis of analyses, in which he investigated whether there is a local market in the area.
– And if the location is right, we jump on, said Peter Jakobsen this summer.
– The locations we have chosen are ones we believe in.

– The location in Aalborg almost speaks for itself. We have found an attractive and good address, and Aalborg is one of the largest cities in Denmark with many customers, says Peter Jakobsen.
– In Thisted, it is about the town attracting customers from a large, local catchment area. And there isn’t a store like ours in town already.
With the upcoming openings, Big Dollar has firmly established itself in North Jutland.
In October 2022, the chain opened a store in Brønderslev, which was later followed by the openings in Hjørring in September 2023 and Frederikshavn in May 2024.
